International Water Day is March 22nd. Did you know that more than 1.2 billion people in the world lack access to clean water? That means 1 in 9 people are without the simplest, most basic need to survive - clean water - things many of us in the U.S. take for granted. A child under the age of two dies every 5 minutes due to unclean water; over 5 million people die each year from the lack of this basic need.
Mission H2O continues to provide water across the globe. Mission H2O is a 501(c)(3) non-profit that was formed with the purpose of providing clean water and resources to those in need throughout the world. Our focuses include well-digging, hygiene education, and fundraising for on-the-ground groups located in South America, Asia, and other areas where access to clean water is lacking.
With the recent torrential flooding in Honduras, many of the wells need to be repaired in order for the people to again have clean, safe drinking water. For just $350.00, you can help make that happen by sponsoring the restoration of one well! The cost to sponsor a new well in Honduras is $7000.00; we also partner with a non-profit in India that drills wells. Our goal is to raise $10,000.00 to drill multiple water wells in India and Honduras in 2025.
